The Buffs beat Oklahoma with a field goal!!!!! This is beyond awesome! The Buffs, an unranked team, beats the #3 ranked team in the nation in our Big 12 conference opener, which also happened to be our Homecoming game. Field goal kickers get one chance like this in their entire careers, if they're lucky. If they miss, they become pariahs; if they make it, they become heroes. Today Kevin Eberhart is a hero. And how about the perfomance by QB Cody Hawkins!? And Hugh Charles, whose freshman year was my senior year, put up more than 100 yards! We should not overlook the fantastic defense, led by Jordon Dizon. What an awesome game!!!

Oh, and my condolences to all the Notre Dame fans out there on their fifth consecutive loss. Keep your chins up, you'll win one.

Last day on holiday

Today was it. My final day on holiday. Tomorrow I start work, my first non-paint store, non-public service internship job ever. I couldn't be more excited. I've got my business casual attire set out for the week, and my shoes shined. I'm not quite a lawyer yet (that won't happen until the bar results come back), but I'm about to be an associate. Awesome.

In other news, Nell and I drove for six hours yesterday to go to a friend's birthday party in Seattle. We ended up staying up there for about five hours, so the time came pretty close to balancing. It was fun though, so no complaints. As for Seattle itself, it's an ok town, but it's no Portland. Portland rules!
