I thought the film strip was a good bit of foreshadowing. Even after they put it together it was clear that parts were missing. I believe that in order to get the whole story you need the strips from all of the experiment centers on the island. I dont think we have seen them all yet.

I was not looking forward to a Kate-centered episode, but was quite pleasently suprised by how good it was.
