My Dentist Appointment
What started as a one-time regulation filling of a cavity for a reasonable price, turned into a three appointment root canal/crown for a substantially higher price. Could someone explain to me why we can't just have all of our teeth replaced by some ultra-durable polymer?

I agree. I dont see why that couldn't happen either. But you know if we all did that, then Dentists wouldn't make as much money because you wouldn't have to go back into the office for regular visits.
Interesting thought, FishFrog! If only that COULD happen with our teeth! Unfortunately, I think that would be way expensive for many. Anyway, I think it’s good that your dentist checked the rest of your teeth. If something required a root canal, it’s very likely that there was something very wrong with the tooth; and this could affect your health. It’s better to do three visits to take care of that one bad tooth than to wait for it to affect your whole set of teeth.
