Never throw anything away...

I've noticed that there are a lot of new posts up lately and I think it's beginning to make Fishfrog and I look bad, so I decided to share this story that my Dad just sent to me (thanks Dad!).

Apparently about four years ago a woman taking a walk in Manhattan came across a painting that someone had put out with their trash. She decided she liked it and took it home. After some research she discovered that the painting was by Mexican artist Rufino Tamayo and was stolen 20 years ago. I guess the painting was returned to the original owner, but it is now due to go to auction and is expected to fetch up to $1 million. I just hope that the woman who saved the painting from destruction got a reward. A picture of the painting can be found here.
